Office is located near the train station and it's super easy to find it.
Bus was in time in both directions.
I do recommend to book in advance to guarantee the seats, especially if you go with family.

The office was easy to find right outside the train station.
The bus was perfectly on time.
The instructions were clear.
We had plenty of time to hike up, walk around the crater and back without time pressure, have lunch at the top, and walk back.
The return bus was on time (ok, maybe 10 min late, but in Italy this is totally to be expected).
I would not hesitate to use the service again.

Finally, it turned out there is a public transport bus from Pompeii that's 4 times cheaper, but everyone is hiding it - even the official website of the park statutes that Vesuvio express is the only transport.
The bus was not that bad but at least they could have told us that it's going to be late so we didn't wait there the whole time.

It's also important to realize that the standard Vesuvio Express tickets do not include entrance to Vesuvius. You will need to purchase these tickets separately before driving up the mountain. Vesuvio Express does offer a combo ticket, but we purchased our tickets directly from the park website as I was worried the specific timeslot we wanted would sell out.
Overall, using Vesuvio Express is a pretty good option. I'm giving it four stars for convenience, but keep in mind that you may not have the full two hours they advertise.

In their office, to French people bought it all for 25€ on the spot, they were care free, they didn't feel stressed for the past two days. If only we knew that we can buy both transfer and Vesuvio tickets in their Ercolano office our mood would be much better!
Bus departed at 9.30 with few empty seats, the ride was smooth even though the weather was terrible, foggy and rainy. Bus back departed at 12.20 instead of 12h sharp, we were sitting in the bus with no reason. We could spend more time up on the mountain if we knew...
Overall, great transfer option!
You CAN buy tickets in their office in Ercolano, don't bother registering online. Oh, and bring cash because they don't accept cards (internet working flawlessly in Ercolano, we spent 45min having coffee in the bar in front, so no reason to not accept cards).
We strongly suggest that you, as a company, start respecting your clients and answer their questions (you say on your website that we can ask for help, but you provide no help). Cashier in the office is also pretty cold and uninterested to provide info.

Regardless of where you buy your crater tickets, you can get to Vesuvius either via the Vesuvius Express (12,00) or the 808 bus (probably less), or by driving yourself (not an easy drive). I opted for the Vesuvius Express because the schedule was better, but I mention both options in case you miss a bus and need both options.
The transfer worked, but was disorganized. Firstly, they could provide better instructions about where to go (west end of the parking lot just south of the station). Secondly, when I checked in, they told me I needed to exchange my electronic ticket for a paper ticket at the east end of the parking lot. Of course there were twenty of us trying to do that all at the same time, which completely defeats the purpose of buying a skip-the-line ticket. Note that this was just for the bus ticket, as the bus driver handed out separate paper crater tickets to the people who reserved both. I somehow made it onto the first bus, which left on schedule. As there were many people still waiting, I assume there was a second bus that left a few minutes later, but I cannot confirm (you can read the other reviews to figure that out). We then went to Vesuvius for two hours, and the bus left Vesuvius on time for the return transfer. However, we seemed to have gained 2 or 3 passengers on the return trip and the bus was overfull (though they still let everyone on).
Overall, I cannot think of a better way to visit Vesuvius, but again, this could be more organized.

Consequently, we arrived at 4 PM and had only a few minutes to explore Vesuvius, as the driver made it very clear upon our arrival that the bus would leave precisely at 5 PM. And it did.
At least the trip was fun and the constant honking was somewhat interesting.

On the website ánd on the ticket it said we would be having a trip of 3 hours: 1 hour to go to and return from Vesuvius + 2 hours to explore the volcano. Not true. We had the start time at 1600h. We left at 1620h. When we got to Vesuvius we were told we had to be back to the bus in less than 1 hour, or they would leave us behind. Which basically meant that we had to rush up to the volcano, be there for about 15 minutes, and rush back down. We were very disappointed! Especially since there was zero explanation as to why the trip was cut short. The people from the company just looked at us with disdain and didn't give a f*ck about our genuine surprise. They basically didn't let us ask what was going on and cut the question ánd their answer short. It felt like a scolding. So yeah, no top marks for this trip.
Please change the text on your website and ticket to reflect reality. That way you will avoid disappointment. After all, its not cheap.
And please train your staff to be friendly; they work in the service undustry, its their job. Thanks.
The volcano and its views were wonderful. We would have loved to have more time up top!!

Despite us having tickets, the bus was already full, when we arrived for the trip down and we had to sit on the floor in isle. The park at the mountaintop closed at 6 PM, and the last bus leaves approximately at that time, even though people are still coming out of the gate. Had we been a minute later, we would have been left up there, probably.
Also, the bus up was 15 mins late.
Overall, we got up and down the mountain, and it was everything but boring, but quality of this service needs to be improved, especially regarding the price.

Be warned that the journey up the mountain is quite twisty! From drop-off to pick-up you get about 1.45 to 2 hours to walk up to the top of the crater, passing a couple of shops selling all sorts of tourist tat and drinks. No toilets! This is enough, but don't dawdle.
There are toilets at the bus pick-up point (small donation). And there is a cafe.
Getting to Ercolano Scavi from Sorrento, depending on the time of year and the foibles of the Circumvesuviana railway, might not be that easy so it's really important to check with the railway station staff as stops and times change on a whim and don't always reflect what is online or even posted in the stations!
Thanks, this was a great trip and worth the money for the ease of travel.

The pros:
- Views both on the road, and on the site were great!
- Bus driver was incredible, with his driving skills.
Now the cons:
- We have booking for a trip on Tuesday the 5'th of September. Due toe weather condition the access to the Volcano was restricted the day before. There was no info or text message from Vesuvio Express that there is no access - bad practice! We could have avoided travelling from Naples to Ercolano Scavi (Herculanum)
- This led to another situation: we were informed, that we can re-use the ticket on some other day for transfer. So we did, but during check in on the day, prior of departure we were informed that this is just the transfer to the gates (at 1000m height there are gates for the peak track) but without access. So when we decided to buy it, we were given a simple printout with android code, and they've told us that this is our ticket to the entrance. At the actual gate there was a complete chaos, where the guards didn't wanted to let us in, and it took 20 minutes of a literal verbal fight with them, before they finally let us in. Humilating experience, as the staff at the gate should know the ticket formats used by different providers.

We took the 5pm bus and we arrived at 5:30 on top of Vesuvius by bus.
We then returned back at 7:30 since it was written 2 hours of visit on top of vesuvius, only for the bus to be gone with absolutely no message left and no response from my calls.
What is the point of giving stickers on the bus if it's to dismiss them?

What I like : The driver showed paper which is written "12:45" <- This is meeting time after down from mountain. It was really clear info.
What I didn't like : There are other bus which has same shape and colour, and same company. but not mine. It was confused. If I didn't took picture of bus number, I would thought I missed bus. It is better to have big sign for each bus.
Did you experience any difficulties while booking or during your activity?
During booking, no. But when I got on bus to returned, I was confused with other bus as I wrote already.
Would you recommend this offer to your friends?
Definitely yes if my friends want to go vesuvio without own car.

In the end I think it was very expensive for a travel of 15km in a bus to the volcano, considering that the volcano is not designed or prepared to receive tourists, for example a bumpy dirt path, where there could be walkways or a paved path, some rest benches along the route and other in the top to admire the crater and even some observation platforms towards the interior ... honestly everything was a disappointment

The only issue we had was with the online booking system. I booked the tickets the night before but when we arrived at the ticket desk, the staff explained that we had booked tickets on their summer timetable... which didn't really make any sense, since our tickets were booked in February, for a date and time in February. If my tickets were booked in February, how could I have booked onto their summer timetable? I think someone really needs to look into updating and sorting out the online ticket system as a matter of priority. There was another family with small children ahead of us who faced the same problem. They were told to wait until there was space available for them on another bus. They were visibly upset and unhappy when they saw us take the last 2 seats on a differnt bus - even though they were there before us. It was quite embarrassing. I think this could have been avoided with a more modernised, and up to date booking system.
Our bus driver was excellent, and knew how to handle the windy roads and traffic in the town. The views of the Bay of Naples were stunning. Overall we really enjoyed our trip up Mount Vesuvius and would definitely do it again.

The women at the front desk was kind and helpful and explained our options well. Instead of getting a transfer up and down, we got a 'panoramic tour’ with Vesuvius Express. The price of this tour was €10 per person (we paid €12 for the transfer and received no partial refund).
The tour was average at best. I'm fairly chilled out so just got on the bus, went up, took some photos in a car park, watched lots of other cars get stuck and confused about where to park, and then went back down again. Not really worth it to be honest.

The ride was smooth, things worked as expected - it's definitely an easy way to see Vesuvio without renting a car.
The downside for us was that the bus was late to depart (~20-25min) & this time was taken from the time spent on Vesuvio, so we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the views.
Note: The ticket is just for the bus ride there & back, you need to buy yourself a ticket for the Vesuvio crater (with timeslot).
