Ho visitato la mostra l'ultimo giorno e non avevo molto tempo. Anche così però ho visto cose straordinarie, presentate e descritte molto bene. L'audio guida è stata utilissima per selezionare le cose più importanti o più interessanti per me e per ottenere una descrizione completa in tempi brevi. Non ho potuto sperimentare il funzionamento di alcune macchine, ma ho visto altri farlo. Ottima mostra permanente, o quasi, perché purtroppo ora ha chiuso. Ho prenotato on line, molto agevolmente. Consigliatissima.

We found the exhibit engaging. We were a group of 5, including a 14 year old and a 5 year old.
We enjoyed the computer building simulations, hands on (especially the boat), and the painting of The Last Supper. The exhibit is conveniently located in the Galleria. Booking the tickets took a few moments of time. It was done prior to our trip. If possible, bring a printed copy of the tickets or the receipt. The phone reception was poor at the front desk.
We highly recommend this exhibit for anyone who is an engineering and/or da Vinci enthusiast.

Appena arrivato ero praticamente da solo, dandomi la possibilità di "gustarmi" ogni punto espositivo. Poi si è troppo affollato ed i locali sono piccoli, creando qualche problema. Consiglio di sicuro ma meglio in orari con minor affluenza.

Sicuramente c'è tanto materiale e tante informazioni ma leggere o ascoltare per tutta la visita diventa noioso oltre che molte cose le si possono trovare su internet. Avrei ampliato la parte interattiva perchè molto più coinvolgente. L'esperienza diretta fa ricordare molto meglio le cose.
Molto bella è la zona relativa all'ultima cena o l'esperienza olfattiva della Dama con l'ermellino.

The exhibition is very attractive. For adults but also for younger visitors.

This is the best activity from my trip in Milan. Incredible inventions from Leonardo explained to us, with interactive activities for kids. You can spend easily 3 hours in this museum, and kids remain passionate. Audio guide in FR is really helpful, but not everything is translated to FR (interactive screens).

Nessun problema di prenotazione, e gentilissima ragazza all'ingresso in galleria per farci salire al piano della mostra.
Mostra davvero molto interessante e strutturata benissimo, con stupende realizzazioni in legno dei disegni del genio.
Avevamo prenotato tutti le audioguide che però a conti fatti non si sono dimostrate fondamentali: contengono un sacco di informazioni (e per ascoltarle tutte servirebbe senz'altro molto tempo) che sono però riassunte dai molti tesi presenti in mostra e soprattutto dalle postazioni multimediali, davvero numerose e di notevole qualità (si può persino far sbadigliare la dama con l'ermellino...).

The materials/ elements that are exposed in the museum are really nice.
However, the place is absolutely insufficient in terms of soace.
Also, the museization is too limited even quite a lot of tech resources..

Piaciuto la cura, l'allestimento e l'idea di rendere fruibile Leonardo nel 21°secolo in maniera intelligente e interattiva. Il posto è magnifico poi.
Meno piaciuto la lentezza dell'ascensore, ma soprattutto lo spazio a tratti angusto, compatibilmente col numero di presenti. Ma credo conosciate già il problema. Per il resto vi siamo tutti molto grati.

The museum is very small from what I was expecting, it claims to have hundreds of exhibits but there wasn’t that many it was one small hall full.
I paid for audio guides and was very anxious that my passport was taken until I have them back at the end.
The audio guides were quite boring after the first 2 or 3 minutes.
Overpriced for what you get, wouldn’t recommend unless you are a fan of da Vinci
The “gift shop” consisted of about 3 overpriced books in a shelf all in Italian only

I had heard that the science museum was well worth a visit and it did not disappoint me. The Leonardo section was beautifully put together but I also really enjoyed the space and physics section which was superb. It is a wonderful place to visit and to understand the amazing contributions Italy has made to science.

Ho visitato questo museo con delle amiche Francesi. Dalla pubblicità sembrava molto grande e ricco, ma nella sostanza il museo è molto piccolo. In 20 minuti abbiamo fatto il giro.
Avevamo preso l'audioguida (cosi le mie amiche francesi avrebbero potuto capire il contesto), ma per sfruttarla al meglio avremmo dovuto fermarci ogni 2 passi (ad ogni quadretto espositivo). Sinceramente non ne è valsa la pena....

For a museum about DaVinci, there was a surprising lack of interactive items. It’s a small museum so don’t plan on spending an hour there. It has a great location so definitely recommend while you are out visiting the shops or the nearby Duomo.

Don’t miss this experience if you are a science enthusiastic or Davinci’s fan. It is right next to the Duomo, in the Victorio Emanuelle galery. A lot of mokups of Davinci’s inventions, simulations, plans. A good value for the money!

Exhibition is very interesting and interractive, so many oggets in 3D , so even the children will be curious to investigate various objects. The flying machins made on the base of the draws of Leonardo da Vinci occupy 1 big room, but there are also the rooms dedicated to other masterpieces of Leonardo. Buying a ticket online facilitated much and let us avoid the queque.

Un vero peccato che un’esperienza simile sia confinata a spazi troppo piccoli con gente ammassata ovunque perché non ci sono ingressi scaglionati. Coda lunga all’ingresso per prendere l’ascensore, senza che nessuno indichi la possibilità di salire a piedi ed evitare la coda….

Even though it is a central location and employees have been very kind, I cannot recommend this museum. There are too many exhibits on too little space with too little explanations. The audio guide explains the exhibits in my opinion in a very boring way - even though I am very much interested in technology and science. It’s a pity that this museum is not more fun and alive!

We purchased an audio guide, which was in English, however, none of the audio appeared to be explaining what different exhibitions were, how they worked and what they were for - but rather how leonardo da vinci's inventions were decoded from the codex. This could have been a nice addition but we didn't know what we were looking at. We ended up giving up on the audio guide, and walked around looking at the models.

We’re not fluent in Italian, had a number of missteps walking from the train station to the exhibit. Part of that was not understanding how Apple’s Map app works. I think that stating the exhibit is close to the Duomo would be helpful.
Booking was easy, but we mistook the address of the ticket office, and another da Vinci exhibit in a different Museum as our destination.
The exhibit was wonderful, recommend renting the audio tour in your native tongue. Loved the scale model recreations and interactive demonstrations. Was disappointed that a number of the physical demonstrations were broken and nonfunctional.

The museum is fantastic. I personally think it is a little cramped. The pieces would be better appreciated if there was more space for each one to be thoroughly examined and pondered. Still, it was fascinating to see the genius of Leonardo's ideas manifested in the models. Bravo!!

Domenica ho scoperto questo museo che ho visitato con la mia famiglia e altri amici. Museo molto interessante e attento ai bambini (eravamo con bimbi di 6-7-9-10 anni). Abbiamo scelto di prendere le audioguide differenziate per adulti e bambini. Ai bambini viene data una mappa e seguono i numeri a loro dedicati che spiegano le opere o i modelli più iconici di Leonardo. Ci sono anche due postazioni per la realtà virtuale e diversi schermi touch per approfondire. Un’ora e mezza per loro volata ed esperienza molto piaciuta. Lo abbiamo visitato al mattino e poi siamo stati a pranzo vicino a piazza duomo. Poi passeggiata in centro. Bella giornata alternativa con i bambini.

Marvel at the breadth of his thinking and the beauty of his drawings from the pages of his assorted notebooks. Even his writing is a thing of beauty.
Sculptor, musician, engineer, anatomist, biologist, weapons designer, theatrical special effects, he did it all and let us not forget painter. All of this is on display in a relatively small museum. Fitting as it came from a mind contained in a human skull.

Even though a crowded place, it was easy to find and enter the exhibition. The reconstruction of many ideas of Leonardo are well done and showing the genious ideas. Even though many of then could not be implemented with the materials in his time, the obvious direction into our time is visible.

Ho prenotato con molta semplicità l'ingresso per me e i bambini. Ho potuto pagare e prenotare con abricipo anche le audioguide, il che di solito non è possibile. It was very interesting for sure. Decent value as well. Thought that the pieces and descriptions were very interesting. Some of the technology probably about 25% was not working and needed rebooting, etc. Space was rather small for the actual displays. My kids did enjoy it and learned a good amount.

Signs were in Italian and English, but the English text wasn't as extensive as the Italian, so you always had the feeling you missed a lot of info. I couldn't help it, but it felt a bit like a tourist trap. If you want to learn more about Leonardo, I would equally recommend the Leonardo Gallery in the Science and Technology museum.

We accidentally bought tickets to the Leonardo3 museum instead of the other Leonardo museum, but we couldn’t be more happy with this mistake. It was a great introduction to the wonder of Leonardo da Vinci.

The animations were outdated and not in a 2022-state of quality. Also, the screens showing the 3Ds were very slow and froze from time to time. Reading the digital versions of the pages of the Codex Atlanticus was not possible: they were in poor quality and the screen’s software was buggy.
The Museum was packed of physical models, which were quite incredible to look at. However, it was too crowded to enjoy them, read the descriptions on physical screens, or flip thru the pages of Vodex Atlanticus on the digital screens.
If you’re interested in da Vinci and his works, I would recommend visiting the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci to experience and enjoy his incredible work.

I don't know how practically this could be implemented, but be nice to see a more organic flow to what is presented. There are a few rooms that were hard to notice were there, but even if we had missed them entirely, it would have been worth it. Very well done. Quite informative, and very fun.

La mostra molto bella per Location e organizzazione. Andando con la famiglia con 2 bambine di 5 e 8 anni pensavo sarebbe stata un'esperienza di difficile gestione ma le bambine si son divertite molto soprattutto grazie a tutti i display di gestione 3D dei montaggi delle macchine. Inoltre l'ambiente non dispersivo permetteva di tenerle d'occhio e lasciare il tempo a noi grandi di poterci gustare la mostra.

I went to this museum with my wife and as French and English speakers, we were disappointed to see that most of the expositions were in Italian with only a small portion translated in English for every piece. The interactive pieces had Italian and English, but the rest was mostly in Italian, which was disappointing for a museum names "World of Leonardo". The expositions are super fun and interesting, but there would be room to add more text in multiple languages, or at least just English.

I had read the book about Leonardo by Walter Isaacson and so I was keen to see with my own two eyes what he was saying about all of the futuristic devices (for his time, and even maybe ours) that Leonardo had sketched out. It was well worth the experience.

We very much enjoyed our museum tour. The displays and models of DaVincis many inventions, were fascinating to observe and learn about. I would urge visitors to buy the earpieces with audio narration to ensure a full learning experience.

It's one thing to see Leonardo's inventions just as museum exhibits, it is totally different thing to see how they operate, how they are built (the original Leonardo's notes), to even build them yourself, you are able to do all of these in the museum, with all the interactive boards. As engineers, me and my boyfriend, enjoyed the museum a lot. We spent ~3 hours inside, and could have spent more.

This was a very neat experience. It was a very different kind of museum. Interactive in places. It was small so it didn’t take long to go through it. It was located at the end of a beautiful square with lots of restaurants and shopping. We paid extra for the audio guide but it really wasn’t necessary.

The depth of study is so thorough and there is much context provided, including in English. I loved this visit to see all the works from the mind of a man among men. A scientist with faith in God... And it is simply AWESOME that photos are now allowed, enriching my visit by allowing me to study more closely myself and to share and attract others to come in person.
The restoration is outstanding and very illustrative. I loved the narration device and it is fairly priced. I wished for bluetooth connection so I could take notes and shoot pix, but the narration was outstanding - very clear.

Me gustó muchísimo cómo estaba realizada la exposición ,con explicaciones claras e instructivas. Ver todos los Artilugios e Inventos de Leonardo hechos realidad fue muy interesante. También muy curioso ver la reproducción de los escritos y dibujos originales de Leonardo. Muy completa toda la información. El montaje del cuadro de la última cena me encantó ya que cómo no pudimos ver el original te haces una idea de su composición, los colores originales etc...quizá el espacio se quedaba un poco pequeño para observarlo con más detenimiento por la afluencia de gente .
Mis hijos adolescentes disfrutaron mucho con el juego de la realidad virtual y con el montaje del puente transportable que consiguieron realizar junto con su padre.
Comprar las entradas online me resultó sencillísimo, las reservé con bastante antelación, desde casa, ya que cuando supe de esta exposición teníamos mucho interés en verla. Además me gustó que no tuviera que reservar una hora concreta, porque nos permitió acudir a la hora que mejor nos convino una vez de estar ya en Milán.
Por último, señalar que el lugar dónde se ubicaba la exposición era inmejorable y las vistas a la Galleria Vittorio Emanuele inolvidable.
Por todo ello, me parece una exposición totalmente recomendable para todas las edades.

The models and details of Da Vinci's work extremely well explained. It was a wonderful experience for me and my wife.
We had booked online tickets via the website which is simple and convenient. The staff in-house was helpful - one was a metal fan with whom I had an interesting conversation....really enjoyed it.

The location is totally inadequate. Cramped in small rooms with lots of people and bad air quality. Signs and explanations in English are horrible. Audio guides have empty batteries. No clear layout or assigned path. No explanation of who Leonardo DaVinci was, his legacy his life! How sad. Models are nice but no good explanation. Hands-on experiences are very limited and not well explained. A waste of time and money. How sad!!!!

Il museo è splendido, interattivo, a portata di bambino. Ideale dai tre anni (anche due se bambino/a sveglio/a) in su! Fondamentale per bambini fare il laboratorio con Ad Maiora. Most of all I liked the girl from museum stuff who was pretty like a Venus from the painting "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli.
Thanks to her I opened my eyes to see todays beauty of Itally.

It is a very interesting, informative and stimulating museum. The touch screen options are particularly good for children. My only suggestion would be to find a different place for this amazing museum. The space felt a bit small and there was virtually no museum shop. I believe this museum deserves a bigger, brighter building.

I found the exhibition by chance when looking for museums open on Mondays. Having been interested in DaVincis inventions for some years I had to visit. I enjoyed reading in detail about the pieces and seeing the reconstructions and exploring their catches and errors on screen.
Can definitely recommend!

In fuga a Milano per un week end, cercavamo qualcosa da fare a Milano il Lunedì mattina che potesse coinvolgere la nostra nipotina di 6 anni. Oltre alla deludente scoperta che, anche sotto Natale, è quasi tutto chiuso, ci siamo fatti affascinare da questo museo. La visita ha superato le aspettative. Gli adulti affascinanti dal genio di Leonardo, la bambina coinvolta nella scoperta di Lorando da Vinci (ora non sbaglia più), dai dispositivi multimediali e dai modelli di alcune invenzioni, da ricostruire. La visita, data la dimensione del museo, non dura moltissimo, ma ne vale la pena per adulti e piccoli. Ultima nota, personale cordiale e disponibile.

It was very easy to book and although small, the interactive nature meant that I spent a very interesting 90 mins here. The opening hours were also exceptional , which made fitting it in to our day was very easy

The exposition was interesting and with a lot of information. The audio guide is as well very useful. On the other hand, it was a bit disorganized, at one point of the you wouldn't find the next consecutive number of audio in the exposition. As well, a lot of the interactive panels wouldn't work 100% well. Overall, it was a fun museum.

Avevo visitato la mostra alla prima apertura, ora visitandola di nuovo ho apprezzato l’ampliamento delle sale espositive e il dettaglio nella realizzazione delle audio guide e dei pannelli interattivi. Sicuramente è un museo da apprezzare e visitare!
